Job Description Summary
This position properly operates Industrial Boiler and Refrigeration systems as well as performs repairs and maintenance on that equipment in the plant or office facilities, or on machines and other related equipment. Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding. Conducts routine, periodic or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Uses hand and power tools. Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate with other employees of the organization. Must read, write and communicate in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Proficient in math to the level of algebraic equations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables and resolve in a logical manner.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Must have good typing skills. Must have knowledge of maintenance and mechanical terminology. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft Office software.
