The CNC Machinist will offer a **highly competitive rate, overtime** , **excellent benefits, PTO, 401K** and r **oom for advancement** . **Available Shifts:** + 2nd Shift 4:15pm – 2:45am Monday - Thursday **Responsibilities for the CNC Machinist in Phelps, NY:** + Reads drawings, blueprints and measures parts. + Owns and maintains own tools. + Responsible for quality, quantity and safety. + Must follow Quality Plan. + Operates assigned machine(s). + Able to work to very close tolerances. + Able to do minimal set-up with supervision. + Maintains oil, coolants, etc. for own machine. + Is familiar with quality standards and adheres to quality procedures and work instructions. + Keeps accurate records. + Keeps work area clean. + Will perform other duties as directed. + Relevant AS9100 competencies as defined by QL-7200 Training Matrix. **Required Skills for the CNC Machinist in Phelps, NY:** + Skilled in CNC setup and operation functions. Knowledge of programming is a plus. + Strong knowledge of production tooling selection and use, including spindle tooling and cutting tools. + Expert in common inspection and gaging techniques, including micrometers, bore gages, height gages, indicators, thread gaging, profilometers, and optical comparators. Working knowledge of CMMs, vision systems and other metrology equipment is a plus. + Familiarity with SPC data collection and analysis as a tool to maintain process capability. + Ability to meet productivity and quality standards while working with a diverse range of components, materials, and equipment. + Basic computer and software skills.
