B2B Marketing Insurance Manager

Aon’s reinsurance business is the global leader placing over $60B of premium each year and is the #1 issuer of insurance-linked securities. The reinsurance marketing team continues to expand as business revenues have significantly grown from $1.8B to $2.4B in 5 years.
The marketing manager will drive business growth by raising the business’s profile, generating new leads and supporting the U.S. marketing team through a variety of marketing programs, channels and tactics. Key responsibilities include events, thought leadership and product content underpinned by analysis and measuring KPIs to ensure we’re meeting our marketing goals.
The position is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Chicago, Minneapolis or New York offices.
What the day will look like
+ Work with our Head of U.S. Reinsurance Marketing, and reinsurance experts and leaders on agreed key priorities and areas of client need.
+ Manage and support our core client events and sponsorships including event communications, onsite branding, collateral, giveaways, and measuring ROI, etc. Events span from some of the biggest industry conferences at major U.S. cities to boutique, targeted client summits.
+ Drive key content across thought leadership, digital and print marketing materials, website, blogs, social, colleague guides, webinars and product communications using writing and proofing skills, and working with business experts on insights, graphic designers on creatives and our external digital agency.
+ Develop thought leadership with the business, which is a core focus of our marketing efforts, and activate through marketing campaigns that span multiple channels.
+ Plan and execute marketing campaigns with Aon’s internal marketing automation team (Eloqua) including in-market campaign optimization, enhancing data, tracking leads and measuring KPIs.
+ Reporting and using Monday.com or any other relevant tools.
How this opportunity is different
The role will help support a seasoned team of reinsurance/finance marketing professionals that will provide mentorship. However, we are looking for a fresh perspective on challenging the status quo. You will also be part of a global team to learn more about this exciting industry segment and global best practices in marketing. Domestic travel, up to 6 trips per year required.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
+ B2B marketing and/or corporate experience of 5+ years.
+ Finance marketing background with re/insurance industry knowledge preferred.
+ Event marketing experience will put you at the top of the list.
+ Experience working with graphic designers to create briefs based on stakeholder requests.
+ Writing and copy-editing skills as well as the ability to learn brand guidelines for emails, reports, thought leadership.
+ Experience with campaign development, reporting on performance and optimization when in market with an automation tool (Eloqua preferred, Marketo, Pardot or similar). Ability to run reports and analyze data.
+ Understanding of and measured success of lead generation programs.
+ Exceptional project management skills, managing up to 6 projects at once varying in complexity.
+ Excel proficiencies - Vlookup, pivot tables, developing formulas, etc.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or equivalent years of industry experience.

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $82,100 to $105,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
