The Senior Product Manager is a crucial role in driving the development and execution of the product strategy at The ODP Corporation. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for innovation, strong analytical skills, and a successful track record in managing products within the B2B CPG market. Responsibilities include leading a team of product managers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and professional development. The Senior Product Manager will lead the strategic execution and delivery of category strategies to drive sales, penetration, and margin growth. They will also be responsible for developing and executing product strategies, managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, leveraging market insights and data, collaborating with sales and marketing teams, tracking key performance metrics, building partnerships, representing the voice of the customer, and providing expertise on customer-centered platforms like sustainability and safety. Through their leadership, the Senior Product Manager will ensure alignment between business objectives, market demands, and product success, solidifying their pivotal role within the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead a team of product managers fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Lead strategic execution and delivery on the category strategies to increase sales, penetration and margin growth. While also leading the development and execution of product strategies for each category that drive growth, profitability, and market leadership and align with business strategies. Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle management from concept to launch, including product planning, development, launch, and post-launch evaluation. Leverage market insights and data, evaluate tradeoffs, analyze outcomes (upside, expected and downside) to inform decision making on new opportunities and growth strategies. Drives project plans with supporting financials, manages a challenge process and drives execution of projects. Track and analyze key performance metrics to measure product success, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions. Provides point of view development on customer centered platforms like sustainability, safety, hygiene and productivity. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive product adoption and sales growth through effective marketing collateral, sales training, and customer support materials. Build successful partnerships with vendor partners, key internal customers and cross functional teams. Represents the “voice of the customer” in internal decision making.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience Years of Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in related field Type of Experience: Product Management of physical/durable goods, Product Marketing, Product Sales, and/or Business Development in the B2B industry with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing products from concept to commercialization. Technical Competencies & Information Systems: Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information, and to access information necessary to complete the job. Skills & Abilities: Strong business acumen with the ability to translate market insights and customer needs into actionable product strategies and plans. Exceptional analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving. strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and develop actionable plans. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced matrixed organization. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve common goals. Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a strong commitment to delivering value to customers and driving business growth. Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Skills and Experience: MBA or Advanced degree Knowledge of building science, commercial construction practices, codes, and standards Knowledge of category management (branding, supply chain, manufacturing, pricing, marketing and sales) Experience working in a matrixed organization
*Remote: While this position does not currently require relocation, candidates within a radius of our physical locations, including, but not be limited to Boca Raton, Itasca, and Austin, will be required to work in the office a minimum of two days a week beginning in September 2024.
