Back Order Specialist

Job Description

The Back Order Specialist will support the planner/schedulers by expediting non-stock and stock backorders, ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet distributor requirements. This role involves identifying supplier deficiencies and recommending improvements, achieving supplier performance metrics, and managing a proportional share of the premium freight budget. Additionally, the specialist will collaborate with planners to ensure proactive coverage of expected requirements, including demand, kits, and firm future orders.

ResponsibilitiesSupport planner/schedulers in expediting non-stock and stock backorders.Ensure adequate inventory levels to meet distributor requirements.Identify supplier deficiencies and recommend actions for improvement.Achieve supplier performance metrics.Make fact-based decisions on supplier overtime.Manage a proportional share of the premium freight budget.Collaborate with planners to ensure proactive coverage of expected requirements, including demand, kits, and firm future orders.Procure and expedite the delivery of parts to support expected demand and replenishment requirements.Essential SkillsProficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.Previous experience with SAP/ERP systems.Good attendance and job tenure.Experience in purchasing, logistics, and procurement.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with supply chain and asset inventory management.Data entry skills.Administrative support experience.Work Environment

The position is onsite from 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of remote work at times. However, expect to be in the office 5 days a week. Employees will receive standard 6 federal holidays and 5 days of PTO, which must be accrued.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00
