Job Description
Teledyne Imaging Sensors is an integral member of the new Digital Imaging Segment of Teledyne Technologies. Imaging Sensors provides advanced imaging solutions for a variety of customers, including the DoD, NASA, prime system integrators, and commercial customers. In the civilian space arena, Teledyne sensors are the most advanced sensors on board the Hubble space telescope, and they are also found on board the majority of NASA space probes and ground based telescopes. In the DoD arena, Teledyne sensors are integrated into several major systems for persistent surveillance, chemical detection, and target identification, among others.
We are looking to add a Backend Process Technician to our team building the World's Best Infrared Detectors. This position supports the Teledyne Imaging Sensors’ FPA production team in backend processing and ensures that all projects are met within timeline and budgetary constraints.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs BCS shimming and backfilling processes
Performs chemical etch processes
Performs epoxy applications
Observes ESD and safety practices and cleanroom practices
Uses microscope to inspect cleanliness and dimensions of product
Follows all work instructions and travelers related to these processes
Documents and reports any damages that may occur from operations
Prepares reports and recommends solutions to technical problems as required
Identifies and corrects root causes of any damages as needed
Frequently works with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data
Other duties as assigned
Able to work flex schedule and overtime as needed
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAdvanced computer proficiency level using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
Ability to add and subtract decimals and fractions
Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice
Working knowledge of wet etching, epoxy processes, microscope use and cleanroom operations
Ability to follow work instructions and/or diagrams while performing work
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices
Working Conditions
Work is normally performed in a typical cleanroom/lab environment
Often works during periods of time requiring an accelerated work pace or deadlines creating pressure
Education and Experience
High School diploma with three (3) to five (5) years of experience or Associate’s Degree in a related field with zero (0) to two (3) years of experience
Citizenship Requirements
Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.

Salary Range:
$35,090.00-$46,970.000Pay Transparency
