As Backend Programmer, you will…

Work with a small team of passionate game devs to implement, test, and maintain high-performance, observable, scalable backend game systems in Go such as matchmaking, seasons, and crash reportingSupport the integration of backend features with clients by:Exposing secure RESTful APIsImplementing client SDKsCollaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure APIs are used correctly by integratorsParticipate in a rolling 24/7 on-call schedule to address live issues if they ariseParticipate in code reviews to maintain code quality and standardsLearn new technologies and programming languages as needed Qualifications

What Makes You S.P.E.C.I.A.L.

You have 2+ years of building web APIs in GoYou have experience working in a Linux development environmentYou have experience working with either AWS or AzureYou are familiar with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD toolsYou have experience modeling data in NoSQL (MongoDB, DocumentDB, Redis, etc…)You have experience with version control systems (GitHub preferred)You have excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Skills

You have an understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architectureYou have experience building and supporting distributed systems at scaleYou have C++ experienceYou have experience with TypeScript, React, and ReduxYou have experience with observability tools (e.g., Grafana, InfluxDB, Splunk) for monitoring, logging, and tracing distributed systems Salary Range

Backend Programmer - The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $75,000 - $160,000 per year.

           
ZeniMax has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are not guaranteed.
