The Role:

Proofpoint’s Intelligent Classification Platform team in Singapore is looking for Backend Software Engineer Intern to be part of a multi-cultural and dynamic team environment. The team focuses on developing data protection software based on artificial intelligence to make sure all the data within an organization is safe

As a Backend Software Engineer Intern, you will be involved in adding new features to the stack. You will participate in all agile software development processes, e.g: feature kick off, daily standup, regular retrospective, etc. You will work closely with experienced engineers and product team members in delivering high quality results 

Qualifications:

Able to commit to an internship assignment for a minimum of 4-monthsGood team player with strong problem-solving skillsGood communication skillsNodeJS or Python with previous experience in school or personal projectsKnowledge of Express.js, Flask or any other MVC framework and its best practicesKnowledge in using databases (PostgreSQL, Redis)Knowledge on APIs(REST)Knowledge of messages queues, microservices and Docker is a plus                             

Candidate Profile:

You have the ability and interest in working full time (a maximum of 40 hours/week) in our Singapore office. You are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree and are in good standing.
