Backoffice Project Manager - Mission Critical Coordinator - (Remote/Hybrid)

The Backoffice Project Manager will play a critical role in supporting data center projects through financial tracking, scheduling, coordination, and documentation management. This is a non-traveling role (with minimal travel up to 10%), making it ideal for candidates seeking stability while contributing to high-impact mission-critical projects. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, financial acumen, and an understanding of engineering terminology. For this role you will manage and lead all of the administrative functions for 15-20 commissioning and testing projects for Data Centers and other Critical Facilities Projects. Candidate will oversee all phases of admin duties re: pricing, tracking changes, validating data is added, project delivery: Scheduling staff, tracking budgets, tracking add-ons, (P & L).
Responsibilities:
Track and manage project budgets, invoices, and change orders to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with project goalsBackoffice Interface on projects; Manage internal client relationships / expectations with effective face to face, phone, and email communicationOversee scheduling and coordination efforts to support project milestones and deliverablesManage Scheduling and Coordination of assigned projectsFinancial acumen – tracking invoices / change ordersTrack progress of projects against goals, objectives, timelines, and budgetsGenerate reports, track project costs, financial forecasts as related to project statusReview scripts and documentation for information gatheringMonitor expenses to ensure they fall within the prescribed budgetWork closely with other functional areas of the organization, project contractors, internal / external team members, customers and suppliersUnderstand / follow company policies and proceduresMaintain comprehensive records and documentation to support project tracking and reportingCoordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely execution of project tasks and adherence to compliance standardsAssist in process improvements and workflow optimization within project management operationsQualifications:
Data Center / Critical Facilities Experience would be helpfulProven financial acumen with experience tracking budgets, invoices, and change ordersStrong scheduling and coordination experience, ensuring efficient project executionHighly organized with excellent attention to detail and document managementProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.); experience with project management software - Project Office, etcExperience with Deltek Maconomy or Similar ERP SW package a huge plusEffective Communicator- emails, phone, meetingsStrong organizational, communication, and reporting skillsAbility to create complex reports, forecast modelingAbility to work independently while effectively coordinating with internal teams and stakeholdersUnderstand engineering, construction, or commissioning terminology a big plusBachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / or Architecture a PlusPMP certification a plusProject management experience in the Consulting Engineering Industry a plusCreating RFPs a plusPrevious experience in the Military / Military veterans in all branches that have experience with Electrical / Mechanical is a huge plus (Navy nukes- EMN, ETN, MMNs, Seabees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, etc.)Submittal Instructions:
