As part of the Second Data Center project we will need the services of a Senior Backup and Recovery Administrator for the following:
· Assess current backup methodology
o Suggest application of best practices to methodology
o Assist in rollout methodology
§ HPUX
§ AIX
§ Windows
§ Linux
§ Vcenter
o Assist in developing standard backup policies per supported platform
§ Group
§ Storage
§ Retention
§ Tape
· Develop reports for internal and external customers:
o Success/Failure
o Storage usage
o Capacity Management
o Chargeback
· Assist in the relocation, implementation, and testing of the CommVault environment in the Springfield Data Center.
o Initial setup and test of environment
o Participate in Disaster Recovery testing of CommVault environment in Springfield
o Tuning of communications between Chelsea and Springfield if necessary
· Document Backup Environment and assist in training 24/7 Operations Staff
o Procedures for stopping, starting, restarting jobs
o Tape management procedures
o Monitoring of Backup Environment
Qualifications:
· Candidate should have 10+ years backup experience with at least 3+ years as a CommVault Senior Backup Administrator.
· Strong Disaster Recovery skills are desirable.
· Candidate should have CommVault certifications.
Must have a vehicle to travel between Chelsea, MA and Springfield, MA
