Linde is looking for qualified applicants to fill the role of Production Technician for the Air separation processes at ourAshtabula, OH facility. The Production Technician must demonstrate initiative in handling issues, be self-motivated, dependable, and work within a Unionized team environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and duties of a Production Technician include but are not limited to:

Shift: Monday-Friday dayshift 07:00-15:30 with overtime and rotating on-call responsibilities as needed to support operations.Starting and shutting down equipment and processesMonitoring and adjusting equipment and plant process operating parametersCorrectly performing valve line-upsPreparing equipment for maintenance work including lock-out-tag-outCorrectly and safely permitting maintenance workProfessional judgment for operating the facility safely, reliably, and efficiently at all times.Excellent computer skills requiredProcedure development and training of new employeesEffectively communicating with our customers and suppliers when requiredOn-Call ability required within 24/7 operation environment. Plant emergencies, outages, shutdowns, and turnaround work may require working outside of the normal Monday to Friday schedule. Including nights, weekends, and holidays.Other duties as assigned

The Production Technician must be able to perform basic troubleshooting and recognize when to escalate matters when more experienced specialists must be called in for support.
