Fundamental Job Duties and Responsibilities


Essential Functions

Bake the majority of a cafe's fresh bread and pastries.Ensure all Panera products are prepared according to Panera's standards.Meet the highest standards and consistency in food preparation, sanitation, and safety.Team player; accept responsibility for all tasks delegated by Management.Primarily work alone with minimal supervision.Perform operational activities such as stocking, prep, and sanitation.Work as a team with Management and fellow Team Members.Incorporate the concept essence and cultural values into daily operation of the bakery-cafe.Show respect for the equipment and facility by adhering to cleaning and proper operation.


Physical Demands of the Essential Functions

Ability to stand up for ten hours at a time.Ability to lift up to fifty pounds.Ability to move at a fast pace.


Working Conditions While Performing the Essential Functions

Evening/late night shift.Fast paced, multi-tasked environment.


Qualifications Preferred

Experience working in food preparation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Desire to learn and develop.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Enthusiasm, energy and positive attitude.Self-starter, able to work independently.


Performance or Production Standards

Complete knowledge of bakery menu items and preparation.
