THE JOB:

As a Main Kitchen Baker, you will be responsible for setting the stage for an excellent experience by using your culinary techniques. You’ll provide high-quality pastries and baked goods to guests from all over the world. In your role, you will also partner with front-of-house staff.

THE STARTING RATE: $22.40

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Prepare dishes, follow recipe and yield guidesAssist in decorating cakes and pastriesMaintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentationMonitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areasEnsure all requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated areaProperly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitationSet-up and break down work stationRegularly runs for food and restock all kitchen supplies and food items required for serviceCommunicate, direct and assist management, chef and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Is comfortable in a restaurant kitchen and with the use of culinary tools, equipment, and techniques.Takes pride in their work, provides a safe environment, and maintains health standards.Describes themselves as detail-oriented.Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidaysExperience in a similar resort settingAbility to produce all aspects of bake shop including pastries, wedding cakes and specialty itemsWorking knowledge of weights and measuresKnowledge of standard kitchen equipment and supplies, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators, and coolers, slicers, beverage machines, mixers, VCR and small waresKnowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulationsAble to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal formsExcellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts​
