JOB FUNCTION:

As a Bakery Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our bakery department. Your expertise in leading bakery staff, ensuring the production of high-quality baked goods, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace is essential in upholding our commitment to providing delicious and fresh bakery products to our customers. This role reports to the Grocery management team and will support their efforts of policy administration and other functions within the department. Prospective employees should be outgoing, friendly, hard-working, dependable and a team player.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Order supplies, ingredients, and packaging productsManage and organize large satellite store orders and schedulesResponsible for creating weekly scheduleOrganize special orders Provide outstanding customer serviceClean equipment and sanitize dailyPrepare bakery productsPack and label items for saleDecorate bakery items for sale and as requested by the customer Operate ovenStock bakery items on shelves Record and report accurate inventory countsAssist all customers in their shoppingOther duties as assigned

 BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be at least 18 years old or olderMust be available evenings and SaturdaysAbility to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to work with othersGood interpersonal skillsGood verbal communication skillsBasic math skills are requiredPrevious baking experience is required

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

On feet up to 8+ hours per dayLifting, reaching, grasping, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, squattingFrequently lift up to 40 pounds

TYPICAL EQUIPMENT USED:

Oven, proofer, bread slicer, knives, cooking equipment, scalesCardboard/plastic baler, dishwasher

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Exposure to varying temperatures
