General Job Description:
Responsible for assigned area of manufacturing operations including: production, packaging, and/or processing of ingredients or finished products, effective utilization of team members, equipment and materials. Assists with team member training, continuous improvement, quality, housekeeping, safety, cost control, problem solving and meeting departmental goals and objectives. Reports any discrepancies to supervision to obtain additional resources or assistance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks:
Directly monitors and follows up on scheduled work with all team members in the Bakery.Reviews production schedules for needs and accuracy.Ensures equipment availability and proper operation throughout the shift.Ensures correct usage of raw materials throughout the shift.Adheres to all Quality policies and food safety requirements. Ensures equipment and work area for proper sanitation, productions controls, etc. Ensures consistent product quality throughout the entire production process. Responsible for understanding, communicating/training, and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) during operations taking immediate action to address any deficiencies.Responsible for the training of all new team members in proper methods and procedures to perform their assigned job.Develop and lead team members with on-going training and communication of any policy or process changes or other requirements. Ensures all equipment and work area is free of hazards. Initiates, facilitates, and follows up on all suggested safety improvements.Initiates, facilitates, and follows up on training of all safety procedures. Responsible for understanding, communicating, and leading evacuation procedures.Prepares and/or reviews various operational reports, line efficiency, daily uptime, materials variance, etc. and continuously communicates to team members.Verification of all production data collection. Input data into SAP system.Other additional duties as may be requested by Supervisor to meet departmental demands.The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Requirements:
Minimum of 6 months experience in a lead capacity working in a production environment with 1 employer.Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to meet departmental demands. This may involve various shift configurations on any day of the week.Must be willing and able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Team members in this job classification shall experience prolonged exposure to temperature extremes ranging from 60 to 120 degrees with moderate noise levels.Must be willing and able to effectively communicate verbally with other team members while being tactful and respectful.Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
