Balancing Technician

Our team is looking for a Balancing Technician for our Longview, TX operations! The Balancing Technician is responsible for balancing basic/routine rotating equipment including all in house and on-site rotating equipment.
Here's What You'll Do:
Read paperwork to determine job status, work authorizations/limitations, estimate, description of problems, customer requirements, and/or expected serviceability.Test electromechanical equipment for pass or fail criteria.Consult with other Balancing Technicians on troubleshooting issues.Use Data Collectors (FFT Spectral and Waveform data), Stroboscope, Soft-Ware, ICM Balancing Program, Feeler Gauges, Dial Indicator, and Analog Vibration Meters.Operate shop balance machines.
Here's What You'll Need:
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems required.Three (3) years of hands on mechanical and/or electrical experience preferredCategory II Vibration Institute Certification or higher preferred. Or if have a Vibration Institute Certification Category 1, have the ability to work toward it within approximately one year of employment.Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division including understanding fractionsAbility to use computer to enter work data into softwareAbility to read, write, and comprehend simple to moderately complex written and verbal instructionsAbility to understand, perform, and retain various job related training, operational, and safety proceduresAbility to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision making related to routine duties within set company standardsAbility to work in confined spaces (seldom)
