General Responsibilities

Ensures that bales are properly tied by the automatic tie balerRemove carton waste from print/cut and finishing departmentsShred all carton wasteRemove finished bales from baler using the forklift to proper staging area and load waste truck with finished balesUse air-gun to blow excess dust and waste from baler/sweep up excess waste from baleroomPerform various other assignments as required

Requirements:

GED/HighSchool diploma requiredMust have a a valid forklift operator licenseAbility to read general information or short instructions such as lists, notes and labelsAbility to write in order to accomplish such tasks as completing forms or communicating simple instructionsAbility to perform basic mathematics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and divisionAbility to carry out tasks which require a sequence of steps usually performed in a particular order – the problems are routine and easy to recognizeAbility to make decisions that are short-range and usually affect only a small group or work teamAbility to complete tasks as assigned by others with occasional directionsAbility to communicate to explain or interpret well-defined business issues or procedures, following established patterns Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
