**Job Title: Bandsaw Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Bandsaw Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and setting up saw equipment, ensuring materials are sorted and organized, and maintaining high-quality standards in the production process. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to work efficiently to control quality, duration, and cost of the manufactured product.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate and setup of saw equipment.
+ Receive daily instructions from Manager and plan day accordingly.
+ Follow production saw list for quantities, lengths, and priorities.
+ Keep materials sorted and organized in racks.
+ Unload material delivery trucks and ensure materials match paperwork.
+ Wipe down materials of excessive oils before and after sawing.
+ Check that parts are cut to quality standards.
+ Deburr all outer and inner sharp edges of sawed parts and deliver to machine shop or weld shop.
+ Collect parts for weld department kitting.
+ Follow all safety policies and procedures.
+ Work efficiently to control quality, duration, and cost of manufactured product.
+ Keep work area and machines clean and maintained.
+ Separate and recycle all scrap metal end cuts.
+ Assist with packaging, loading, and unloading of powder coat orders.
**Essential Skills**
+ Basic math skills and knowledge of converting from fraction to decimal.
+ Proficiency in the use of measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, and calipers.
+ Ability to inspect parts accurately.
+ Experience using a forklift regularly.
+ Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Highly organized and self-motivated individual who can work independently.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to changing situations.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
+ Knowledge of general tools.

**Work Environment**
Work in a clean, organized shop where employees build various types of ground transportation equipment. All tools are provided and accessible. The shift is Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-4 pm, with some flexibility on start times once trained. The dress code includes closed-toe shoes and general work attire.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Boise, Idaho.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
