Our corporate bankers are relationship focused professionals responsible for understanding the wide range of complex financial issues facing our clients around the world, and driving the client dialogue on capital structure, funding and risk management strategies, best-in-class transactional banking solutions and all other aspects of international, cross-border financial solutions. In partnership with the Investment Banking Division, our Corporate Bankers deliver strategic financing associated with M&A advisory assignments, often in concert with Equity Capital Market solutions. **We provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed.** We’re committed to teaching you the ropes. The 2 year Analyst Program starts in July 2025 and includes an in-depth training program in New York. While you’re in the Analyst role, you will build relationships and have the opportunity to collaborate with seasoned finance professionals. By the third year of the Program, Analysts may have the opportunity to take advantage of internal mobility opportunities. In our Corporate Banking program, you will become a relationship-focused finance professional responsible for understanding the wide range of complex financial issues facing our clients around the world. You will learn how to drive the client dialogue on capital structure, liability management, liquidity and funding strategies, risk management, and investment solutions. Unique to Citi, our Corporate Banking program teaches you how to decide where to invest the firm’s capital and executing on those investments. Corporate Bankers work in partnership with various Citi groups across the firm including Risk Management, Investment Banking, Markets, Capital Management and Capital Markets Origination. **Your time here will look something like this...** The successful candidate will be responsible for originating revenues from our most valued clients across the globe and have primary responsibility for approving and committing the firm’s capital - a key competitive differentiator. The role also includes access to a full spectrum of corporate finance products including high grade and high yield capital markets, loans and other direct credit products, derivatives, structured finance, securitization, FX and transaction services. Additional responsibilities may include: * Analyzing and developing an understanding of the bank’s customers/prospects including their financial condition, risk profile, industry and business activities * Conducting accounting and financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and capital markets analysis * Researching specific companies and industries along with performing due diligence on financing and advisory transactions * Liaising with product partners to become fluent with respect to Citi's credit policies and requirements * Maintaining and developing specific comparable and precedent transaction databases * Assisting in the presentation and development of new ideas to clients including written presentations and the development of information memoranda * Assisting various product groups (Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, M&A, Leveraged Finance, Derivatives, Fixed Income, etc.) in producing marketing presentations * Writing approval memos for new transactions to obtain approval by internal credit committee * Maintaining and developing specific comparable and precedent transaction databases * Developing and maintaining industry knowledge and staying up-to-date on industry developments * Coordinating with credit support staff to ensure that annual reviews are completed as required * Developing an understanding of interpreting legal documents **We want to hear from you if...** * You are planning to graduate between December 2024 and June 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce or economics * You possess strong knowledge of accounting principles and understanding of financial statements along with a thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of financial, risk and structuring analysis * You possess excellent sales and marketing potential * You have well-developed financial modeling skills * You are able to simultaneously manage numerous tasks and deadlines * You demonstrate the ability to build excellent relationship management skills through superior verbal and written communication skills * You are a strong team player with the ability to contribute to a positive working environment **Who we think will be a great fit...** A dedication to learning and a true passion for the capital markets are vital.
