The Banking & Credit Advisor with Northern Trust Wealth Management is responsible for the development and cultivation of credit and banking relationships with high net worth individuals, multi-generational families, corporations and not-for-profit entities. This includes broadening existing client relationships as well as generating new relationships for the firm. The Banking & Credit Advisor provides advice on efficient and effective lending and deposit solutions that are fully integrated with the client’s broader financial plan. He/She is an expert in credit solutions and serves as a source of advice and knowledge to clients, prospects and Northern Trust team members. The Banking & Credit Advisor is a critical member of the Client Advisor team and excels in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidates must have:
8 years or more of commercial lending experience, private banking experience or, preferably, a combination of bothFormal credit training by a national or large regional bankSkills in negotiation, leadership and sales demonstrated by an existing partner network and successful history of prospecting and acquiring new clientsAdvanced knowledge of the banking industry, competition and financing, usually acquired through formal education and experienceKnowledge of investment, trust and financial consulting concepts in order identify opportunities to expand relationships and better serve clientsStrong credit acumen in order to advise high net worth clients with their complex credit needsExcellent organizational skills and loan portfolio management expertiseSuperior oral and written communication skillsWorking with Us:
