Bankruptcy Paralegal
Description We are in search of a proficient Legal Assistant/ Paralegal to join our Atlanta-based team. This role primarily involves providing key support to our legal team, managing schedules, and handling administrative tasks. As a Bankruptcy Paralegal, you will leverage your tech-savviness and proficiency in various cloud-based programs to ensure smooth operations. This opportunity offers a short term contract employment. Responsibilities: • Utilize your skills in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word to manage and organize case documents • Handle calendar management duties efficiently, ensuring all schedules are up-to-date and accurate • Operate case management software effectively to track and manage all cases • Communicate effectively with all team members, ensuring all are updated on case progress • Handle complaints professionally, working towards a satisfactory resolution for all parties involved • Manage all incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring all documents are properly filed and organized • Prepare and file motions in a timely and accurate manner • Use Clio practice management software to manage all case-related information • Manage the schedule of senior team members, ensuring all appointments and tasks are properly organized and attended to • Assist other team members with administrative tasks as needed, ensuring they can focus on their primary duties. Requirements • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat to manage, edit and share PDF documents. • Expertise in Calendar Management to organize and schedule appointments, tasks and meetings. • Familiarity with Case Management Software to efficiently manage and track legal cases. • Excellent Communication skills to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and court officials. • Experience in Complaint Handling to address and resolve client issues in a detail oriented manner. • Strong skills in Document Management for organizing, storing, and retrieving legal documents. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, maintaining spreadsheets, and creating reports. • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook for managing emails, schedules, contacts, and tasks. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word to create, edit, and format legal documents. • Experience in drafting and filing Motions in compliance with legal procedures and court rules.
