Location Description Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is nestled high atop the majestic San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,174’. This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The resort includes a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach as well as over 23,000 sq. ft of meeting and events space. Overview We are looking for a highly motivated Banquet Bartender to join our team! This individual will help to direct the set up and preparation of banquet rooms for banquet functions, serve as the bartender as well as clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of the function.This individual will serve beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. Also, to prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests, and act as cashier for the banquet beverage bar. The banquet bartender will also be responsible for beverage inventories, cost, requisitioning of beverages, serving, and maintaining the bar. If you have experience with high volume bartending at banquet events, enjoy making meaningful connections, figuring out what it takes and stepping it up to win the day is what you do, and you love it, we want you! Your Role Set up for cash, host or package bar to include proper glassware for beverages offered, requisition beverages needed for length of time of function, gather mixers needed and prepare garnishes when needed, proper signage and bank when needed. Service bar for period as scheduled or requested by client, replenish products behind the bar when needed. Break down bar and all equipment used. Return all beverages to proper storage areas in proper containers, finish inventory sheet and return to captain, return bank to captain. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized work environment. Proper maintaining of inventories and costing concerning all beverage products. Proper requisitioning of all beverage products. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Marginal Functions: Maintain open communication with management and other employees. Be well organized and efficient. General side work, including but not limited to setup, cleaning, polishing, take down and vacuuming. Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by the banquet manager. Help in other areas of banquets. Environment: Indoors, dimly lit, carpeted, and climate-controlled environment. Hard kitchen floors with occasional slippery or greasy areas. Handling hot plates, glasses, and silverware. Outdoors: cement, wood decking, sand, and grass surfaces, with exposure to outdoor climate and elements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 21 years of age to meet BAC requirements. One year food and beverage experience, preferably within a catering environment. A minimum of two years of experience in mixology, cocktails, wines, and spirits with the ability to craft high-quality beverages. RBS certificate and San Bernardino County Food Handler’s Certificate required or must be obtained. Excellent customer service skills. Pleasant, outgoing, engaging personality. TIPS certified. High volume service experience. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must be able to adhere to a flexible working schedule.
