ROLE OVERVIEW:

 

Reporting to the Senior Food & Beverage Supervisor, this role works directly with the catering and sales team to ensure all event details are fulfilled for every client.  This role will include leading of event set up, operation and tear down.  Will ensure that all team members are briefed on event details before each event and a post event debrief.  You will work directly with the clients in the absence of the sales manager to ensure all details are correct.  Overseeing all bar operations for set up and that inventory management is being adhered to. You will be involved in staff scheduling, product ordering and inventory management.  This role will also guarantee that outstanding personalized food and beverage experiences are delivered on every occasion to all clients and guests.

 

Please note that weekend availability and late nights will be required

Ensures high quality product experience is received by all visitors and guests by

All bars are fully stocked and there are no product shortages All food and beverage stations are clean and fully stocked Making certain the event areas are clean and always organized Ensuring all items are presented to standard and in appealing manner

 

Maintains highest levels of cleanliness and professional presentation of Aquarium public and behind the scenes areas by:

Assist in keeping all areas cleaned and organized this includes but is not limited to service areas, event space, bussing tables, mopping spills, etc. Maintains a safe work environment for all team members and visitors, all safety concerns are promptly communicated to manager and security team

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education and Experience

Required Serving It Right certification Required a clear background check Previous catering and event experience Preferred previous guest service experience

Must be a motivated self-starter Possess a consistent positive demeanor Takes initiative by preparation for upcoming events and offering feedback and ideas to improve work systems Strong guest service and verbal communication skills Strong decision-making skills with ability to work independently and with minimal supervision Ability to work well in a team in a fast-paced environment

 

Working Conditions

Job requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time Flexibility and availability in schedule are required because working hours include working on evenings, weekends and holidays Temperature fluctuations in outdoor working area, risk of heat stress in the summer and cold stress in the winter Job requires employee to safely lift and move a variety of objects (up to 30 lbs) Exposure to slippery floors, noise and vibrations

 

Wage Range: $20 - $22 / hour
