What You Have

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a hospitality or related degree is preferred.

Two (2) years of banquet or food & beverage experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Experience in a luxury hotel or high-volume banquet setting is a plus.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of banquet service standards, setup styles, and food & beverage operations.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting BEOs and event orders.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office, POS systems, and banquet software is a plus.

High school diploma or equivalent; further hospitality training is a plus.

What You’ll Do

Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring compliance with banquet event orders (BEOs).

Ensure tables, chairs, linens, table settings, buffets, and decorations are properly arranged according to event specifications.

Coordinate with culinary and beverage teams to ensure timely food and drink service.

Supervise and direct banquet servers, bartenders, and support staff, providing clear instructions and expectations.

Conduct pre-shift meetings to review event details, assignments, and service standards.

Train and mentor staff to uphold high levels of hospitality and professionalism.

Address any performance or guest service issues promptly and professionally.

Serve as the primary point of contact for event hosts, ensuring their needs and requests are met.

Maintain a strong floor presence during events to oversee service and assist as needed.

Handle guest inquiries, special requests, or concerns with professionalism and efficiency.

Ensure all guests receive prompt and courteous service throughout the event.

Review BEOs to confirm event details and communicate updates to the team.

Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and request replenishments as needed.

Assist in scheduling and assigning shifts for banquet staff.

Work closely with the Banquet Manager and Sales/Catering teams to ensure flawless event execution.

Assist with other related tasks as reasonably assigned by management.

Physical Demands

Capability to manage physically demanding tasks during event setups and breakdowns.
