Our team members are proud to work here! About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Banquet Cook to join our team at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center. This individual will play a crucial role in creating high-quality and delicious cuisine for our diverse catering events. You will work alongside our culinary leadership team to design and execute menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and client preferences. Responsibilities: Assist the Chef in the production and fabrication of food items for various group events. Interpret and accurately execute recipes, ensuring consistent quality and presentation. Minimize food waste through proper organization and cross-utilization of ingredients. Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment for efficient preparation. Prepare ingredients, including chopping, peeling, and portioning food items. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment. Ensure proper storage of food and other supplies. Be accountable for the quality and presentation of all prepared dishes. Qualifications Qualifications: Prior experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume banquet kitchen environment is essential. Strong ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques. Demonstrated commitment to food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills. Positive and energetic attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
