Big Canyon Country Club is a private country club that fosters a culture focused on the growth and development of its team, all while providing the best in hospitality and experiences for its members and their families. Banquet Director We are seeking an enthusiastic Banquet Director to assist the F&B Director in leading and overseeing the Banquet and Club Event operations for the Club, ensuring a remarkable member dining experience. Duties and Responsibilities + Inspires and leads the Banquet team to exude genuine hospitality at every turn + Creates synergy within the food and beverage division by working with the Member Dining Director in cross training all staff to work in all outlets. + Oversees execution of Private and Club Events, ensures member satisfaction by providing impeccable service, and works with the catering and culinary leadership teams in the successful execution of all events + Personally, handles member and guest incidents and complaints. Advises Food & Beverage Director regarding appropriate corrective action. + Assists with developing the operating budget for the department; monitors and takes corrective action necessary to assure the revenue and cost goals are attained. Ensures all events are accurately billed. + Assures that all standard operating procedures for sales and cost controls are in place and consistently followed + Establishes, trains and monitors quality standards for personnel in all positions within the department and ensures current policies & procedures are being adhered to. Adjusts and retrains as necessary + Supervises, coaches and counsels staff on service standards, and Club policies to ensure member satisfaction + Communicates efficiently to staff regarding BEOs, and daily tasks. + Ensure all staff maintain current certifications for California Food Handlers and RBS Qualifications Skills & Qualifications + Must be computer literate and proficient with POS units and Microsoft Office + Excel in verbal and written communication + Extensive Food & Wine knowledge + General knowledge of state, county, and city liquor laws. + Ability to develop, execute, teach, and follow up on training programs for supervisory and service staff. + Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with high efficiency. + This is a "hands on" position.
