What will I be doing?
\nA banquet houseperson is responsible for setting up and maintaining banquet and event spaces to ensure successful and seamless events. This includes setting up tables, chairs, staging, dance floors and any other furniture and equipment needed for an event.
\nA banquet houseperson is responsible for supporting Food and Beverage operations to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while ensuring cleanliness of all areas and maintaining equipment. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\nMaintain cleanliness of banquet, meeting and conference areas to meet established cleanliness and quality standards\nCleaning includes, but not limited to, cleaning restrooms, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, cleaning/waxing floors, removing trash, stocking and maintaining supply rooms, reporting maintenance deficiencies for repair/replacement and cleaning and removing spots, insects and debris\nEnsure equipment is in full working order and report any defects\nProject a professional manner to guests and team members\nAssist back of house team when requested\nAble to lift and Push Banquet Equipment\nAssist with set ups to ensure department runs efficiently\nManage the set up relating to Food and Beverage functions in a timely manner\nLift/Pull/Push at least 50 pounds\nComply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation\nAttend training provided by the hotel\nWhat are we looking for?
\n\nTo fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
\n\n\n\tBasic knowledge of Meeting Rooms Set up, service standards, guest relations and etiquette\n\tKnowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware\n\tMust posses strong organizational skills\n\tAbility to work in outdoor areas\n\tBe familiar with all events happening at the hotel\n\tAbility to perform under pressure effectively for extensive periods of time while maintaining professionalism\n\n\n\n\n
