The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring full-time and part-time Banquet Servers to join our team at The Lodge at Geneva in [CITY, STATE]. As a Banquet Server you will provide outstanding customer service while serving food and beverage products in a banquet setting, ensuring that The Lodge at Geneva guests’ needs are being met in a positive, efficient, and courteous manner.The ideal Banquet Server candidate will be friendly, positive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Please note this is a tipped position, the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings.

What will you do? Sets up tables for function in accordance with banquet event order Accurately transports food and beverages to guests in a timely manner Performs necessary tasks to service guests including: taking and filling drink orders, providing refills, answering questions, and clearing of dirty dishes Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures. Monitors guest needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled; handles any guest complaints Replenishes food on buffet lines (if applicable) Maintains a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow team members Breaks down event according to company procedures More about you Must be 16 or older Minimum of 3 months’ previous experience in food and beverage service preferred Excellent guest service skills Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills, including listening skills and ability to take food and beverage orders and fill those orders correctly No high school diploma or GED required Physical requirements Ability to stand or walk, including up and down stairs, for entire length of shift Ability to lift up to 35 pounds Mobility to maneuver between tables Shift details
