Job Specific
Completes required set up/preparation of function room prior to scheduled activityInspects all equipment prior to, during and at the end of each function.Reports any deviations from standards to Captain/SupervisorInventories materials and supplies at beginning of shift, obtains quantities necessary to support forecasted levels of businessPrepares coffee, iced/hot tea and other beverages as requiredChecks all plates prior to service for accuracy, completeness, appearance and presentationServes food to guests following Star Service StandardsMonitors guests, anticipates needs responds to requests, ensures satisfactionMonitors guest alcohol consumption to prevent over indulgence and ensure safetyClears tables and breaks down function rooms after completion of banquet food service activityCompletes assigned end of shift dutiesOther duties as assignedGeneral

High School Diploma or equivalentOne + years experience as Food Service Attendant/Banquet Server in upscale hotel or free standing restaurant operationThorough knowledge and understanding of quality food service techniques and standardsExceptional guest service skillsCertifications; "TIPS" or equivalent responsible vendorAbility to lift and carry food service trays weighting 35+ poundsAbility to stand stoop and bend repetitively during entire shiftAbility to speak, read and understand the English languageAbility to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidaysThe wage for this position is $7.55.In addition to your direct wages for each hour worked, Loews Hotels & Co will also distribute to you, as additional compensation, a portion of the service charge included in the bill of your guests.
