Join the exciting world of Banquet service, where you’ll create memorable experiences for our valued customers! In this role, you’ll ensure top-notch service for both internal and external guests. Your tasks will include setting up elegant tables, crafting delicious beverages, and serving delectable food at conventions. You’ll help maintain a clean and organized banquet area, contributing to a delightful atmosphere.
Essential Function:
Provides timely, friendly, and courteous service. Introduces oneself and greets guests at the assigned area - obtains entree order when necessary and communicates appropriately. Obtains entrée orders when necessary and communicates appropriately. Obtains the food when prepared, delivers orders to the respective guests, observing service standard guidelines. Responsible for service of assigned area. Responsible for drink orders and proper wine serving. Areas assigned should be neat, clean, and organized at all times. Follows all established uniform guidelines and appearance standards. Assists in all aspects of the Food and Beverage operation when necessary.Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior banquet food service experience preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience as a food server preferred. Experience carrying large trays with covers. Chafing dishes, plate warmers, coffee urns, and hot boxes Knowledge of table service procedures and table etiquette Must have superior customer service skills. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demand:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. This position is physical in nature and requires the ability to balance and carry large trays weighing up to 50 pounds and maneuver in order to clean banquet areas, organize stock, and restock trays. This position works in an environment that is subject to varying levels of crowds, and noise, the severity of which depends upon customer volume. The position requires 10% standing and 90% walking. Requires very frequent bending, pushing, twisting, kneeling, climbing, stooping and reaching overhead. Must be able to respond to touch, speech, smell, aural and visual cues. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment involving constant internal and external customer contact.Compensation & Benefits:
