• Responsible for executing the preparation, setup, and teardown of banquet areas/meeting spaces, moving furniture and stage platforms, lifting heavy objects such as chairs, tables, and dance floor sections and pushing/pulling carts and all other duties as determined by the Director of Catering and banquets.
• The Banquet Porter interacts with guest and maintains the cleanliness of work areas and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards & fire codes from the City of Nevada.
Qualifications• Candidate must be able to communicate in English, both in written and oral form.
• Previous experience as a banquet set up porter preferred, but not required.
• Requires the ability to work consistently with tables and chairs and communicate with other and within a team environment.
• Must have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced and stressful environment with prolonged walking/standing.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. at a time, push/pull up to 400 lbs. at a time; and handle heavy machinery such as pallet jacks, tuggers, fork lifts, etc.
• Candidate must be able to work rotating shifts and be available to be on-call /standby for shift availability.
• Requires a valid Clark County Health card.
• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
