Hire Resolve’s Client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to lead and manage the bar operations at our Cape Town venue. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, exceptional customer service skills, and a strong background in managing a bar team to ensure efficient, profitable, and smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Bar Operations Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times. Manage bar opening and closing procedures.Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise bar staff. Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and high performance. Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance skills and productivity.Customer Experience:
Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing complaints and resolving issues efficiently. Monitor customer satisfaction and implement improvements where necessary. Create and maintain a welcoming, vibrant bar atmosphere.Menu and Inventory Management:
Collaborate with suppliers to source quality beverages and negotiate cost-effective deals. Develop and update the drinks menu, including seasonal specials and promotions. Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to minimize waste and overages.Financial Performance:
Track sales and profitability, implementing strategies to achieve financial goals. Monitor pricing strategies to remain competitive while maximizing profits. Handle cash management, including daily reconciliations and banking.Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws, health and safety standards, and company policies. Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain a safe working environment.Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar role in a high-volume environment. Strong knowledge of bar operations, mixology, and customer service principles. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L statements. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software. Relevant certifications (e.g., Liquor License Manager’s Certificate, First Aid, or Health and Safety).Key Competencies:
