About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Bar Manager to oversee operations at Ty Bar. In this role, you will ensure that service standards meet the highest expectations, in full compliance with LQA and Forbes guidelines. You will also lead the bar team, providing comprehensive training on our beverage, cocktail, and bar snack menus. Responsibilities include managing inventory, overseeing beverage costs, conducting regular menu reviews, and ensuring full compliance with HACCP standards.

What you will do:

Use the guests' names whenever possible, in accordance with company policy and procedure. Build and maintain rapport with regular guests as well as cultivating relationships with new patrons.To thoroughly understand Four Seasons’ quality standards in food presentation, beverage and service and implement them.To communicate effectively with the Kitchen through regular contact before, during and after service and ensure the team is up to date on menu changes, availabilities and specials.To ensure appropriate mise-en-place and service team for the operation is in place in all areas. Effectively handle guest complaints, compliments, concerns or special requests. Assist in coordinating the training, development and evaluation of employees within the department. Develop and maintain a record of all regular guests with their preferences (e.g. beverage type, table location, birthdays, special family occasions) Ensure effective communication between all employees of the department and also with other departments. Work together with other members of staff in all departments and especially the Kitchen, Chef and Food and Beverage Director to discuss menus, marketing strategies, guest comments and concerns.To operate Micros competently, producing accurate and correct guest checks, reporting any errors to the F&B Director. Control labor and operating expenses through effective planning, purchasing decisions, policy making, and inventory control, while focusing on creative cost control and revenue generation solutions to maximize profit in the division and the hotel.  

What you bring:

Minimum of 2-3 year of experience in similar position. Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English with an education in hotel and restaurant/bar management preferred. Thorough knowledge of service, cost control, labor controls, menu writing and creation, maintenance and merchandising.

This role is a full time, on-site role.

Compensation:

88,000 - 91,000 Annual Salary
