As a Bar Back, it is your responsibility to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, working to keep the bar stocked, filling requisitions and keeping the area clean. This individual will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude SERVICE EXPECTATIONS: Greet guests as they arrive or move about the bar area • Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily • Assist the Bartenders in securing requisitioned liquor, beer and wine • Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area, to include ensuring clean glasses are stocked • Be the master of the bar, understanding the details of the operation • Work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff Assisting with maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality. Qualifications Must be TABC and Texas Food Handlers Certified or able to be Certified by the start date. Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a highly active service setting. Pleasant and outgoing personality necessary. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Constant standing and occasional walking, bending, and reaching. Manual dexterity of hand and fine motor skills in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push/pull goods up to 30 lbs or a maximum of 100 lbs on a hand cart/truck. Ability to perform duties in confined spaces and within extreme temperature ranges. Ability to strictly follow all sanitation, safety and cleaning schedules practicing clean-as-you-go techniques.
