Check out this video for more information on our great company! Location Description The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration and has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space, and 8 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining). Hotel Website, Instagram, Facebook Overview McArthur's is named after the resort's architectural inspirations serving New American cuisine with hints of the Sonoran Desert delivering a creative fusion of meticulously sourced ingredients brought from farm to table in a menu of comforting delight. As a Barback, you would be responsible for supporting the bartenders in their preparation, service, and maintenance of bars and other beverage service associated with the Bar and Restaurant. Specifically, this includes, but is not limited to, the following duties: Retrieve beverage orders from Purchasing, visually checks stock received against written requisition with the storeroom personnel, to ensure order is accurate then store the beverage product in the beverage storeroom area. Upon delivery to the beverage storeroom area, re-check items with bartender for completeness. Set up glassware and other equipment. Check and assist bartender in maintaining adequate amounts of supplies, i.e., stir sticks, napkins, matches, etc…, for both the immediate bar and extended service area. Transport tap, replace and perform routine maintenance requirements on heavy beer kegs. Assist bartender. Maintain cleanliness of bar area, beer lockers, refrigeration and storage areas to comply with health code standards. Ensure all glassware, trash and linen are removed and properly stored. Scoop ice from ice bins, transport to service areas and replenish ice containers for usage. Box and save empty liquor bottles as they accumulate for later returns and requisitions. Attend mandatory meetings. Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards. Keep work area clean and organized. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor such as cleaning guest spills Adhere to all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to insure all laws are being followed. This is a full-time position, and you must have availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts vary based on business needs but are typically between the hours of 7am-5pm or 5pm-12am. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 7am-10pm Sunday-Thursday and 7am-11pm on Friday and Saturday. Qualifications Prior food and beverage experience, preferred Any kind of bar/beverage classes or certifications are a plus Must be knowledgeable in preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
