**Purpose and Scope:** Provide barber/hair stylist services to meet all service requirements and support the mission. This position is in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and is located at Ascension Island Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF). **Essential Responsibilities:** + Provide barber and hair stylist services for base members and those granted base access by the Det 2 CC. + Create appointment opportunities for on island customers during on-site service days and shall provide barber and stylist services tailored to meet identified customer demand. + Ensure that the work area is safe, clean and sanitary always. + Ensure compliance all applicable standards, policies, and regulations. + Maintain accountability of customers and property. + Adhere to safety practices. **Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:** + Two years of experience as a barber/hair stylist. + High school diploma or equivalent training/experience. + Ability to read and write English is required. + Solid communications skills, strong interpersonal skills. + Strong ability to work as a member of a diverse, dynamic team. + Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment. + Possess a valid passport from their country and could obtain a work visa. + Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment. + Candidate should be other country national (OCN) or local national (LN). + Prefer candidate who has experience working on a US Government contract. **Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:** + Able to stand for long periods of time such as eight (8) to ten (10) hours, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve supplies. + Able to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds. + Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. + Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions. + Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions. + Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
