The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Riverview

· AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-new hospital in Riverview, which is scheduled to open in 2024.

· The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at time of opening with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.

· This $250 million project in Riverview also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building that will provide community members convenient access to expert care.

· AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of health care services which includes emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic and women’s care.

The role you’ll contribute:

Metabolic and bariatric surgery centers must have a designated Bariatric Coordinator. It is required that a licensed health care professional perform these duties. The Bariatric Coordinator functions as a member of the medical care management team for physician practice patients. This position serves as a liaison between the Bariatric Practice, Hospital and the and MBSAQIP.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Assists in managing the accreditation process and ensuring continuous compliance with MBSAQIP requirements, maintaining relevant policies and procedures, patient education, outcomes data, quality improvement efforts, and education of relevant staff in the various aspects of the bariatric surgery patient with a focus on patient safety.

· Supports the development of written protocols and education of staff detailing the rapid communication and basic response to critical vital signs that is specifically required to minimize delays in the diagnosis and treatment of serious adverse events.

· Serves as the liaison between the hospital and all surgeons performing bariatric surgery.

· Focus on patient wellness and disease prevention.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

· Graduate of a school of nursing

· Minimum one year experience

· Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

· Current license to work as RN in the State of Florida
