Overview The Outlet Bartender is responsible for preparing drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems; providing the highest quality service to guest and servers, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hours of operation while also maintaining control over the liquor inventory. · Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service- oriented manner. · Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards) · Comply at all times with Mid-Continent Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. · Comply with certification requirements as applicable to position to include Alcohol Awareness, Food Handlers, Safety, etc. · Perform opening and closing side work according to Mid-Continent Hospitality standards to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently. · Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the company’s mixing, portion control and presentation. · Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous and professional manner. · Ensure that the lounge is kept clean. · Follow check ringing procedures precisely. · Be familiar with the operation of the P.O.S system. · Carry out cashiering functions in closing checks and servicing the guest. · Follow all state liquor laws. · Assist with maintaining beverage cost. · Follow prescribed procedures in serving liquor with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests. · Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures · Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications · Medium work – exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. · Ability to stand during entire shift. · Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. · Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations. · Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary. · Must be effective in listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS: The hotel functions seven (7) days a week and twenty-four (24) hours per day. Due to the seasonal nature and business hours of a hotel, candidates must realize it may be necessary to move an employee from their accustomed shift as business demands. Additionally, it may be required to assist other positions in department as needed or as directed by immediate supervisor.
