Role Responsibilities Welcome and greet guestsInform guests of specials and menu changesMake recommendations and suggest appropriate beverage pairingsAnswer questions regarding the menu including regions where foods come from, how dishes are prepared to describe in detail tastes and texturesAnswer questions regarding beverage lists, where wines and beers are produced and their aromas & flavorsAnswer questions about our restaurant functions and services and that of all the restaurants in our companyTake food and beverage orders from guests and accurately enter them into POS systemPrepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patronsMaintain clean service areasMonitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable)Be ready and willing to assist fellow service staff membersThank guests for their visit and invite them to returnBe available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant managerRole Qualifications Previous experience in a comparable restaurant preferredStrong work ethic and excellent multi-tasking skillsPersonable and professional demeanorPassion for great food and serviceAbility to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)Ability to reach, bend and stoop The Perks
