Specific Duties: (Other duties may be assigned) 80% Follow proper procedures for serving beverages solicited by bar patrons and the wait staff for guests. Serve courses from kitchen according to Levy standards to bar patrons. Assist bar back whenever possible to clean and wash glassware, clear and stock the bar and cocktail area. Inventory bar and have it fully stocked, supplied and ready for shift. Have bank counted, balanced and ready for shift. Interact with guests to solicit orders and up sell. Adheres to safe and responsible alcohol service when serving guests Maintain a clean and orderly front and back bar area by removing unnecessary items from both bar areas throughout entire shift. Follow through with guests by preparing a final check; clearly display items ordered, individual prices, and final total. Collect payments for checks, make proper changes, and complete transactions with guests. Be knowledgeable of food and beverage specials, participate in daily food tasting. Opening and closing bottled beer inventory. Do not give out drinks, WBG or bottled wine to servers w/o sales ticket. Other duties requested by management. 20% Display a pleasant outgoing personality. Ensure the cleanliness of all work areas. Close and clean entire bar area at end of shift. If a guest wants to run a tab, a credit card must be secured and kept until it is closed out. All beverages are to be rung in immediately after serving the beverage. At no time are bar stools to be reserved for guests. Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability: Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals .Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, guests and the public. Math Skills: Ability to calculate figures and add amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic math. Computer Skills: The individual must have the ability to work with in-house computer POS. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Other: a. Additional Physical Demands: The Team Member may be required to stand, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear or 2/3 or more of the work shift and is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste and smell. The Team Member may be required to lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. b.
