Job DescriptionOur goal is for Bar Traza to be the premiere lounge venue in North San Diego County. The Mixologist plays a vital role in providing an adult escape by creating and serving intriguing cocktails and beverages. You do not just pour drinks…you create them! Must be willing and able to entertain guests while providing amazing hospitality.
Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Report for scheduled shifts on time and in the assigned uniform. Create all drinks for guests and service staff. Drinks will include alcoholic, non-alcoholic, smoothies and specialty coffees.Maintain a professional, neat, well-groomed appearance. Welcome guests personally within 30 seconds and use the guest’s name a minimum of three (3) times: when receiving credit card/room information for payment, presenting check for payment, and when collecting check.Provide service to all guests using the Four Keys to Creating Guests for Life and LCR sequence of service standards. Keep the bar and lounge spotless at all times.Prepares drink orders for each party quickly and accurately. Serves refills upon request as well as follows up for additional beverage requirementsStrong and detailed command of all cocktail recipes, beers and wine list. Follow all pouring guidelines & cocktail recipe standards. Complete pour tests as needed including demonstration of mixology techniques and acumen.Maximize beverage sales by suggesting trend setting, specialty cocktails.Request identification from guests ordering alcohol when legal age is questionablePromote food sales to guests seated at the bar and be knowledgeable about food items offered, including daily specials.Fully service bar and lounge tables when assigned, up to and including: cocktail and food service, bussing, and food running.Have a working knowledge of the menu items and preparationCommunicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone and body language at all times. Make guests feel appreciated through your actions. Maintain composure and high level of professionalism during stressful situationsWork as a team with all LCR Associates in order to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service. Work with others to keep areas cleaned and stocked to LCR standards at all times. Complete, fill and stock requisitions to par levels. Requisitions to be authorized by manager and completed requisition sheets returned to Manager. Keep the bar fully stocked with fresh cut fruit, ice and all items on the par sheets.Utilize the point of sale system and run all of the necessary reports. Tender all checks opened in your number, follow end of shift balancing, and check procedures. Never leave the bar unattended. Designate a qualified person to cover the bar until you return.Wash and sterilize stemware all bar glassware and stemwareBe attentive and proactive in offering assistance to members and guests. Be responsible in the service of alcohol. Do not hesitate to ask for management intervention if necessary. Perform closing duties and paperwork assigned by ManagerWork safely and follow all LCR Safety and Loss Prevention standards. A minimum of two years bartending experience is required. Must have excellent wine, beer and cocktail knowledge and be at least 21 years of age.
NECESSARY LICENSES/ CERTIFICATIONS
San Diego County Food Handlers card and TIPS alcohol training will be required prior to the start of employment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate in a positive, upbeat fashion utilizing English.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay Rate: $16.00/hr + tips
