This position is responsible for the professional, courteous greeting and serving of beverages to guests’ satisfaction. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to banquets, a la carte service, and beverage venue’s tented events at the Hershey Country Club.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
Responsible for the professional, courteous greeting and serving of food and beverage to guests in a fast-paced environment.
Properly preparing and serving all alcoholic and bar prepared drinks which are on the menu.
Operating the point of sale system and register.
Understanding and adhering to all accounting and cash control responsibilities.
Performing all aspects of opening and closing procedures.
Receiving and storing beverage products in a proper and orderly manner.
Ensuring that glassware and bar utensils are washed and presentable before they are used.
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Creating daily drink specials in conjunction with Management.
Completing all side work as set forth in the operating standards.
Ensuring the bar par is adequate and that the liquor requisition is according to standard.
Assisting in the training of other staff.
Completing other duties as assigned by management.
This position also requires the execution of to-go orders from the bar area.
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
A minimum of one year bartender experience preferred.
Must pass the accredited alcohol server test (RAMP) within probation period.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must demonstrate a proven ability to work with other employees and management in a positive manner.
Must be able to serve/dispense alcohol in line with established PLCB regulations.
Proven ability to work in an accurate and safe manner.
Working knowledge of wines, beers and liquors.
Must have strong guest service skills.
Must be able to work under pressure.
Able to competently handle the designated section assignment.
Job Demands:
Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 60 pounds and be able to stand for duration of shift.
The work schedule for this position begins mid- August through October-November, with the potential to work year-round based on operational needs.
Must be able to work flexible hours based upon operational needs to include: lunch, dinner, and late night shifts with the possibility of breakfast shifts.
Must be able to work all shift designations. Shifts include weekends and holidays.
Bartenders will be scheduled to work among locations at Management's determination of schedule rotation based on business needs.
This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
