About the Role: 

Onyx is looking for a talented Server / Bartender! This server / bartender is a hybrid full-time seasonal role, in this role you will provide exceptional quality and service to the Onyx guests. In addition you will be tasked with providing an expertly served beverage or dining experience; anticipating the guests’ needs and as an expert on the menu options; and delivering memorable guest experiences.

What you will do: 

Fully understanding the menu, including entrees, preparation and taste

Using Point of Sale system

Coordinating food timing and transporting items to the guest table

Assist in clearing and resetting tables according to service standards 

Building rapport with the guest with above and beyond service

Provide an enjoyable dining experience through excellence for quality, professionalism, and friendliness. 

Anticipate guest needs a d satisfaction; offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. 

  

Skills/Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have:

Ideal candidate will have 2-3 years serving experience in upscale establishment, hotel/resort experience preferred

Must be able to be on feet for entire shift and communicate with guests appropriately and effectively

Above and beyond attitude is required as well as a flexible schedule with ability to work weekends/holidays and evenings

Valid Maricopa County Food Handlers Card

Level 1 Sommelier preferred

What you bring:  

An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to an assigned task 

High level of understanding and knowledge of food and wine  

Background in Luxury Resort and Hotel considered an asset 

Schedule/Hours:  

PM Shifts / Afternoon Tea

Season will end May 31, 2025. Seasonal position may be extended with the agreement of manager and employee.
