The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. Summary of Key Responsibilities Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: + Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks + Prepares alcohol and/or non-alcohol beverages for bar customers + Demonstrates calm demeanor and ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, and during periods of high volume shares the story of mixology and Princi to provide exceptional knowledge of food and beverage menu items including ideal pairings + Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails according to recipes + Peel, slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks + Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies + Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages + Manages service of alcohol according to all state and federal laws and regulations, as well as company and brand and policies and standards + Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products + Follows Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security + Contributes to positive team environment. + Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods + Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality **Basic Qualifications** + Experience in the service industry (i.e. restaurant, bar, or hospitality) + Experience working as a bartender + Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language + 21+ years of age + Valid WSLCB Class 12 Mandatory Alcohol Server Training Permit (MAST Permit) + Available to work flexible hours, which could include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays **Preferred Qualifications** + Working knowledge of standard drink recipes + Working knowledge of spirits, wine and beer + Understanding of classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names and garnishments + Working knowledge of bar equipment + Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks + High attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to multitask and prioritize
