**Job Title: Building Automation System Technician**
**Job Description**
This position is accountable for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing customer equipment. You will be responsible for instructing customers and sales personnel on the operation and maintenance of equipment. The role involves performing warranty work, start-up service, testing, calibration, checking, correcting, adjusting, and part component replacement services on customer products. You will also construct and test circuits and equipment utilizing various tools and machines such as computers, workstations, circuit diagrams, and test instruments/equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install, service, and repair customer equipment.
+ Perform warranty work and start-up service.
+ Conduct testing, calibration, checking, correcting, adjusting, and part component replacement services on customer products.
+ Construct and test circuits and equipment using various tools and machines.
+ Instruct customers and sales personnel on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
+ Provide technical support in product service, product training, and applications.
+ Analyze complex problems in equipment and machinery and interpret maintenance manuals.
+ Consult with product support and engineering personnel to determine solutions to complex problems in system operation.
+ Report customer suggestions on product improvement and existing product designs to the appropriate technical specialist.
+ Assist in developing design modifications and implementing them.
+ Develop and maintain ongoing customer relationships regarding all aspects of equipment repair and maintenance.
+ Lead a few helpers to move materials, site clean-up, and installation.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in building automation systems.
+ Experience in troubleshooting HVAC systems.
+ Knowledge of installation and relay equipment.
+ Understanding of thermostat systems.
+ 3-5 years of experience in BAS.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to use computers, workstations, circuit diagrams, and test instruments/equipment.
+ Experience in analyzing and solving complex equipment and machinery problems.
+ Capability to develop and implement training courseware and provide training to customers and service representatives.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Ashburn, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25
