Key Responsibilities:

As a Plumber you will work in a fast-paced San Francisco Maintenance Operations Center, the Plumber plays a very important role in providing quality service to our internal customers. Under the direction of the Facility Maintenance Supervisor, or the Lead Plumber, the Plumber will be responsible for repair and maintenance of all plumbing and steam systems within the maintenance base and its related buildings, including:

Ability to perform general plumbing maintenance and installationAbility to troubleshoot and resolve plumbing problems, snake and unclog lines and commodes, install new plumbing fixtures, work on hot water circulating pumps as well as perform preventative maintenance as neededPlumbers must be able to work around the clock shifts, including weekends and holidays, in the outdoors in all weather conditionsSchedules are bid and awarded according to seniorityPlumbers are represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT)Salary increases will be administered according to the current IBT/United contractNew employees are required to join the union within ninety (90) days of employmentThere is an initiation fee for joining the union and subsequent monthly union dues
