**Job Title: Batch Mixer** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated and experienced Batch Mixers to join our team. You will be responsible for formulating and mixing chemicals according to batch sheets, ensuring safety and accuracy in every step. You will operate and monitor machinery, maintain detailed records, and perform housekeeping duties to keep the facility clean and organized. This role requires flexibility to assist with packaging, staging, and preparing orders as needed. Full training will be provided by supervisors. **Responsibilities** + Attend daily safety meetings. + Receive and interpret batch sheets. + Formulate and mix chemicals as per instructions. + Weigh out raw materials accurately. + Handle liquids and powders from drums, totes, and bags. + Pour and place materials into reactors. + Monitor gauges and controls. + Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). + Keep detailed and accurate records. + Monitor running machinery such as pumps, mixers, and milling machines. + Notify maintenance immediately if any issues arise. + Perform housekeeping duties while machines are running or after completing batches, including sweeping and cleaning. + Communicate batch records and shift information to the next shift and supervisors. + Work alongside helpers, ensuring they understand their job duties and safety protocols. + Assist with packaging, staging, and preparing orders as needed. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience. + At least 3 years of experience in blending, formulating, chemical operating, and batch mixing. + Preference for experience in chemical or pharmaceutical industries over food industries. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Manufacturing experience - 3 years + Blending, formulating, chemical operating, batch mixing experience - 3 years + Chemical or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred over food industry experience. **Why Work Here?** Our facilities offer a clean, organized, and temperature-controlled environment with a strong focus on safety. It has a smaller workforce and was remodeled in the last 10 years. The Chicago Heights facility is larger, with more production lines and a bigger workforce. Although it is not as new or clean as Alsip, it is well-maintained and also temperature-controlled. Both facilities prioritize safety and offer a secure and supportive work environment with multiple break rooms and organized operations. Alsip focuses on customized orders and pallets, while Chicago Heights handles continuous batches and repetitive orders. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alsip, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.20 - $22.20 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
