**Job Title: Chemical Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chemical Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for mixing and monitoring various chemicals, managing fluid transfers, and operating forklifts. You will work both indoors and outdoors, dealing with railcars and tankers, and ensuring accurate documentation of all processes. **Responsibilities** + Mix and monitor a variety of chemicals + Record information such as ingredients, weights, temperatures, and batch status + Load and unload tank trucks and fill containers of all sizes + Transfer fluids and products through hoses from tankers + Operate sit-down forklifts + Gather materials and utilize the internal system to document work + Offload rail cars to storage tankers + Weigh raw materials (both powder and liquid) + Clean out totes, tankers, and print batch tickets + Comfortable working on mezzanines and climbing ladders to dump products **Essential Skills** + High School Diploma or GED + 2 years of experience in batch mixing, chemical operations, blending, etc. + Experience with fluid transfer and hose/pump operations + Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office + Forklift experience (sit-down propane) + Comfortable climbing ladders and working on mezzanines + Experience with railcars and tankers + Comfortable working outdoors, conducting fluid transfers, and working on tankers **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to work rotating shifts (6am-6pm or 6pm-6am) every 2 months + Strong attention to detail and safety protocols **Why Work Here?** Join a stable and profitable company that is expanding production. You will spend time outdoors, unloading railcars and working with tankers. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mc Cook, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
