Quanex is looking for a Batch-Off Operator 2nd Shift to join our team located in Cambridge, Ohio.

Summary: This position will be responsible for producing quality products with minimum strip, in addition to working to assist Strip Mill Operators with various duties.

What Success Looks Like:

Assist in establishing and maintaining compound processing procedures. General housekeeping and perform daily/weekly 5s duties. Handle Batch-Off safety checklists. Operate computer control system and maintain and operate bar code printer. Refill batch dip and maintain proper slab dip levels for the compound being mixed. Clean out gear pump head and assist with setting up next one. Ensure loop lengths are set accordingly for the recipe being mixed. Ensure rubber compound meets customer specs and is packaged in the proper container neatly. Operate a forklift for various functions.

 Your Credentials:

One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment High School or GED preferred. Willing to work overtime including weekends. Close visual work required. Ability to read information in a variety of formats. Knowledge of general computer skills and attention to detail

The Hourly wage for this position is $17 per hour plus $1.00/hour shift premium for 2nd Shift.

2nd Shift = $2:45pm to 11:00pm
