In this role, you will:

Work collaboratively, on rotational shifts, in a 247 Global Batch Operations teamMonitor Incident ticket queue and Alert Console for batch issues and follow Standard Operating Procedures to recover level1 batch issuesUndertake batch recovery actions on Control-M, IWS, CA7 and IBM i batchesHave experience in File transmission tools like SFG and CDEscalate Batch issues to Application Support teams within the stipulated SLAsCreate and maintain procedures for any new Application batches and tasks Engage in a timely and effective way with Stakeholders from IT Infrastructure, Incident Management and Business teams during crisis calls to support recovery of Application batches Demonstrate efficiency in managing delivering tasks independentlyDemonstrate effective communication skills with stakeholders, both written and verbal.Provide timely and accurate status updates on any issues or work requestsSelf-motivated and able to work independently and under own initiative with a sense of ownership and accountabilityAdhere to HSBC policy, procedures and control requirements applicable to day-to-day working, exceptional and project activities, and raise any concerns about actual or potential issues promptly, in line with reporting and escalation procedures. Apply policies, procedures, practices and standards to the allocated tasks, taking responsibility for own actions, to ensure the achievement of high levels of quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance.

Experience of working on atleast one Workload Automation Product of Control-M, IWS, CA-7Experience of working on atleast one of the platforms of IBM z, IBM i, Distributed (Unix/Linux, Windows)Good Knowledge of Incident Management and Problem Management Understanding of Change Management Practices within ITILProficiency in English language speaking and writing skills Proactive and attention to detail and ability to prioritize work Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a multi-tasking environmentAbility to work independently and with minimal supervisionExperience of working in 247 shift environment is preferred, as this is 24/7 role.
